Modern buildings to be constructed in newly announced Dodoma city

The government is keen to ensure that it doesn’t make a mistake when constructing underground infrastructural upgrades and in every construction of a high rise to be undertaken or being planned for development at the newly established Dodoma city.  This is in line with President John Magufuli's declaration that, Dodoma now should be recognized as a city and not a municipal town. It is President Magufuli who has inspired to move the government to the designated capital by action and installed all the facilities needed for the development of the new city. 

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said these yesterday that the move is sought to create well-planned and designed buildings so that the mistakes experienced in Dar es Salaam city could not be repeated in other cities in the country. He made the announcement recently when he was opening an Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) 29th Professional Development Seminar.  Mr Majaliwa said the government will continue supervising the necessary infrastructures which are necessary in order to avoid flooding in towns and cities which occurs during rainy seasons. The Prime Minister is of the view that, regular inspection of such infrastructures is necessary and helps avoid repairs once they get damaged.  The premier has also urged people especially those in urban centers t take good care of all infrastructures which are within their locality for the benefit of the nation.
