NEWS FROM THE PARLIAMENT:
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa is expected to be the
guest of honour during the launch of the national AIDS campaign celebration
which is scheduled to start in Dodoma city on 19th June next month. The
Deputy Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office
responsible for Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour and Employment Antony Mavunde said last week in
the parliament during question and answer session.
Hawa Mchafu Chakoma
The Deputy Minister was responding to the
question earlier raised by a special seat Hawa Mchafu Chakoma (CCM) who wanted
to know plans by the government in sensitizing youths especially males into going for the voluntary testing of the HIV/AIDS viruses whose pandemic seems to be
growing at a high rate in the country. The deputy minister noted that, after
the official launching of the national campaigns, then this will spread
countrywide at various stations slated by the government at district and
regional levels countrywide whereby testing will be done free of charge.
