Zanzibar is asked to observe spiritual prayers


Zanzibar President and the Chairman of the Revolutionary Government Council Dr. Mohammed Shein joined other Muslim believers in Zanzibar at a special prayer to mark the first day of the Eid-El-Fitry celebrations which took place at Maisara Suleiman grounds yesterday in Zanzibar, and the Zanzibar president deliverted his address at Sheikh Idisa Abdulwakil at Kikwajuni in Zanzibar. At the Maisara grounds, prayers were conducted by Sheihk Khalid Ali Mfaume who in his preaching messages has asked Muslim believers in the Isles to strictly observe the basic spiritual beliefs of the Muslim religion as ordained in the holy boo of Curran.

He said that, Muslim believers should not only wait for the month of Ramadhan in order to practice what pleases the society, but need to be spiritual throughout the year in order to make them have stronger beliefs as per the wish of the lord God. Following the celebrations, Muslims all over the country have joined others in the world in a spiritual exercise that marks the observance of the five pillars among others of the Muslin religion. Other pillars involves pilgrimage to the holy place of Mecca, Observance of daily five prayers, issuing of sacrifices to the lord God and the profession of faith, the shahada, these are the most fundamental expression of Islamic beliefs. In Dar es Salaam, the        Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa led hundreds of Dar esc Salaam Muslim believers for the EID prayers which took place at Anwar Mosque. The premier arrived at the mosque early in the morning and lined up with other believers on observing this important Muslim decree which is celebrated worldwide.
