Government relieves worries over president’s promises

The government has assured Members of Parliament (MP) that all projects promised by President Dr. John Magufduli during his campaigns will be implemented and completed on time within the five year of his rule as per his declaration which is in the CCM party’s manifesto. The Minister of State in President Office responsible for Local Government and Regional Administration (TAMISEMI) Hon. Selemani Jafo said in Parliament today as a way of relieving the minds of the legislators

The call by the government came in response to a question raised by the legislator Hon. Gregory Massey who wanted to be affirmed the promise made by the president of constructing a 4 Km road in Haidom town at a cost of Tsh. 3.2 bn/- which the president promised to construct in his constituency. However, he thanked the government through the district council for having disbursed Tshs. 714.9 million to be used to renovate dilapidated roads in Mbulu district council for the purpose. Another supplementary question was raised by legislator Hon. James Mbatia (NCCR-Mageuzi) of Himo constituency who wanted to know the accomplishment of the promise made by President Dr. John Magufuli of constructing road at a tarmac level in Himo town. Responding to these, Minister Jafo clearly noted that, all promises made by His Excellency President Magufuli would be implemented as per his own wish and in accordance with his own declaration.
