Tanzania strives to get seeds to grow animal feeds
The government has assured livestock keepers in the
country that, it is keen to establish farms that will grow seeds to be planted
as animal feeds in various parts in the country, the deputy minister for livestock
Hon. Abdallah Ulega has said. The deputy minister was responding a question in
Parliament today which was raised by a special seat legislator Mary Muro (CCM) who
wanted to know what special attention the government gives to livestock keepers
in some parts in the country in terms of pastures. Responding to the question,
the minister noted that the government has put in place a strategy to ensure
that, it gets enough animal feeds for livestock keepers and these will be
distributed on sale to stakeholders just like how seeds are sold to farmers.
