Kidata new Tanzania’s Ambassador in Canada

President Dr. John Magufuli has officially sworn in a new Tanzania Ambassador in Canada whom he had appointed two months ago Alphayo Papani Kidata at and ceremony which took place at State House two weeks ago in Dar es Salaam. At the same ceremony, the head of State has also sworn in the new Tabora Regional Administrative Secretary Msalika Makunga who takes over from Dr. Thea Ntara who has retired from public service. The new Tanzania Ambassador in Canada Mr. Kidata will also represent Tanzania in Cuba on his diplomatic mission and takes over the new position which has been left vacant by Ambassador Jack Mugendi Zoka whose tenure has expired.

Speaking after swearing them in, President Magufuli congratulated them and asked them to go and perform diligent work for the benefit of the country at large. A press statement issued today and signed by the Director of the Presidential Communication unit Gerson Msigwa said that, president Magufuli has expressed his disappointment for the non commitments on orders he issued to some Ambassadors accredited in foreign countries. However, he also noted that, he is amazed over their failure to give him comprehensive reports of their work performances and the benefits which Tanzania gets from the countries they represent. “I want to know exactly what benefits has Tanzania attained as a result of their stay throughout the period, and whoever fails to bring benefits back in the country, they are liable to be returned and another person is appointed to take on the responsibility”, says the president as quoted in a press statement.
