Police swoop nets a hard core criminal

Mr. Husein and Abdallah, the two journalists working for Mlimani Television conducting an interview with the owner of a house at Yombo Vituka whose name was not immediately established following the arrest of his tenant by police who carried a swoop overnight in search of burglars alleged to have attacked a Chinese at Kariakoo and managed to snatch him money. Before his tenant’s arrest, the police fired a bullet in a hot pursuit to let the fleeing man stop when he sensed the police around, after which he surrendered. The action had threatened many people around who apparently didn’t know what was going on. The two journalists were just passing by the area when suddenly they heard the sounds of a gun bullet down in the valley.
This scene shows the valley of the vituka suburb in Temeke district, Dar es Salaam region whereby the a convoy of secret policemen were deployed in search of people who had attacked a Chinese trader at Kariakoo and managed to get away with his money in mid of July this year. Down by the roadside is journalists’ car which had parked.
