UVCCM motorcade involves in road accident

A car motorcade of the Chairman of the CCM Youth wing (UVCCM) Kheri James has involved in a road accident at Meatu district after a police car which was in the procession had its one tyre sparked off while in motion an aspect that caused the car to veer off the road. The sudden veering of the car off the road, caused panic to the driver of the bus who was trailing behind and who after having lost the control rammed into the back of the land Cruiser with the reg. No: T207 DJQ which had carried ward councilors of the Meatu district who were also accompanying the UVCCM Chairman. There are no any fatal reports associated with deaths but three injured passengers have been rushed to Mwandosya hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred over the week end close to the administrative boundaries of two districts of Meatu and Itilima in Kisesa village and the district commissioners from the two districts have rushed to the scene of accident for help, and the motorcade continued after the injured persons were taken to the hospital.Eye witnesses have hailed the driver of the Rombo bus for his quick reaction as he tried to evade off the road in a bid to save the police car which was standing strategically in the middle of the road and rammed into the Land Cruiser which had carried ward councilors. Otherwise, had it not been his courage then more people would have been declared dead”, says unidentified eye witness who did not want to be mentioned. The three ward councilors who sustained minor injuries at the scene of the accident are from the Imalaseko, Mwasengera and Ngoboko wards respectively.
