Former President Benjamin Mkapa (seated right) shakes hands with President John Magufuli after he had arrived yesterday in Geita region to hand over ten houses
constructed by the Mkapa Foundation for Chato district hospital staff today. The
former president is also expected to attend a public rally to be addressed by
his host at Mazaina grounds in the district. Accompanied by his wife, Mama Anna
Mkapa. and Japanese Ambassador to Tanzania, Mr Masaharu Yoshida, Mr Mkapa was
received yesterday by his host, President John Magufuli, and his wife, Janeth.
Ambassador Yoshida is also scheduled to hand over today a sunflower oil
processing plant to the district agricultural marketing cooperative societies
(AMCOS).
